Why The World Darts Championship Feels So Magical Each Year.

Snow is falling, and bells are ring… oh wait, that’s Christmas.

In December, the PDC and the best 96 darts players in the world travel to The Alexandra Palace in London, England, to crown a new World Champion.

Phil Taylor, Eric Bristow, Adrian Lewis, Raymond van Barneveld, Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright. What do they have in common? They won the World Championship, and for some reason, every year, it feels like magic.

This year, 96 players worldwide are battling to get their hands on the Sid Wadell Trophy in 2021. While writing this, the current and defending World Champion Peter Wright has been eliminated by The German Giant Gabriel Clemens, making Michael van Gerwen & Gerwyn Price the two favorites for the title.

I absolutely love to watch these three weeks of excitement every day, and my prediction will be that Michael van Gerwen will take back his World Championship Crown and reclaim his number one spot on the Order of Merit.

I wish you all a delighted new year and stay healthy!
